One out of 2 people are diagnosed with neuropathy. So what is and what causes neuropathy, it is damage to the nerves and may be caused by disease, infection, injuries, etc. In this case there are 4 types of neuropathy, the 1st is peripheral neuropathy. This is the most common out of all the 4 types in diabetics. This is when there is damaged to the nerves in the feet and hands. This can result in tingling, numbness, and sensory/non sensory touch or pain. For example, you go to the restroom that has a tile floor and come out and walk on carpet, you wouldn't feel a difference. The 2nd type is cranial neuropathy this is when you have damage in your head. This type is not too common. This type impacts the eyes, mouth, ears, and any other part in your head. This may result in temporary blindness, hearing loss, mouth pain, and other symptoms. The 3rd one is central neuropathy, now this only impacts the spin and brain the two main parts that keep you up. This could be common. Symptoms of this are back pain, painful headache, weakness in standing, and much more. The final, and last type is autonomic neuropathy, is only gets the organs in you middle body. This is quite common. This impacts the stomach, lungs, sex organs, and other parts.
